Report of counterfeit bills leads to pursuit, arrests

On Wednesday, April 15 the Kearney Police Department received multiple reports of counterfeit bills being passed. Reported locations were McDonald's South, Firehouse Subs, Casey's South, and a local bank.
One of the locations was able to provide a vehicle description and license plate number.
As an officer was responding to one of the reports, he spotted the suspect vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. The vehicle fled the scene at 50 miles per hour on 25th Avenue. Pursuit continued outside of Kearney city limits at reported speeds over 120 miles per hour.
A Shelton Police Department officer successfully deployed spike strips near Willow Rd & Hwy 30.
After a short foot pursuit, all three suspects were detained. The suspects are listed as: Danielle Thomas, Dominique Dukes, and Ja Quan Rogers.
According to a KPD press release, they were booked into the Buffalo County Jail on multiple charges including Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument, Forgery, Flight to Avoid Arrest, Willful reckless driving, and obstruction of a police officer.
Kearney Police Department, the Buffalo County Sheriff's Office, the Nebraska State Patrol, and the Shelton Police Department were all involved.
