Kearney Police Department releases Click It or Ticket campaign results

The Kearney Police Department participated in the statewide Click it or Ticket campaign from May 18 – May 31.

Officers conducted an extra 52 hours of traffic patrol. During this selective enforcement there were 207 total traffic contacts and 59 citations issued. Citations included 3 seat belt violations and 1 child passenger safety restraint citations. There were 15 speeding citations issued, 7 driving under the influence arrests, and 4 fugitives were apprehended.

As always, the Kearney Police Department is requesting that you wear your seat belt and buckle up children. Kearney’s participation in the Click it or Ticket campaign is funded through a grant from the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety.
