Kearney Man Arrested for Solicitation of Prostitution of a Minor

Kearney, NE (Mid-Nebraska Scanner) -- On September 22, 2021, the Buffalo County Sheriff's Office was alerted by a local school district that a minor female had received Facebook Messenger messages from a distant relative requesting sexual acts in exchange for money, according to an arrest affidavit.

The affidavit goes on to detail the message history between the accused, 69-year-old Luis Borjon-Marquez. Luis allegedly messaged the minor victim multiple times offering anywhere from $40-$300 for sex acts varying from kissing to sexual intercourse. These messages are said to have occurred between August 22, 2021 and September 25, 2021.

Borjon-Marquez remains in the Buffalo County Jail on a $10,000 bond. If he is able to post 10% of that amount, he will remain free until sentencing.

If convicted on this single charge, Borjon-Marquez faces a maximum of two years imprisonment.
