Update: Missing Kearney man's remains located.

UPDATE 09/29/2021 -- Per Scott's girlfriend at the time of his disappearance, Jayme Broadway, Mr. Rockefeller was located deceased in his vehicle with his dog in a rural Kearney County, Nebraska pond in mid-to-late-September 2021. Ms. Broadway stated that she was told that foul play was not suspected.

The girlfriend of a Kearney man who went missing nearly five months ago is pleading for the public's help in locating him.

Scott Rockefeller, 30, was last seen in rural Kearney County during the night of June 29th, and was reported missing on July 1st after not returning home. "The night Scott disappeared, he vanished without a trace" his girlfriend Jayme Broadway told Mid-Nebraska Scanner in an email.

Scott's last known location was at a friend's house near Minden, where he went to have a "life venting session" after finding out rumors were being spread about him in Kearney. After meeting with his friend, Scott said that he was going to head back home - but he never returned.

Scott is known as a survivalist who always wanted to live off the grid for a week. He left the house with a .22 pistol but didn't take any magazines or ammunition with him. "I don't think that he's living off the grid at this point," Jayme added, "not for this long and not during winter." "He would never miss hunting season as hunting is his passion and he absolutely loves it."

Jayme, a single mom who has had to put college aside in order to cover financial expenses, just wants closure. "I did not ask to be put in this situation, nor would I wish this upon my worst enemy. This is the worst kind of pain imaginable", she wrote.

Scott Michael Rockefeller is described as a white male, 5'11", and approximately 150 lbs. He was last seen in rural Kearney County driving a Silver 2014 Nissan Altima with Nebraska License Plate 9-E3775. The Kearney Police Department has confirmed to Mid-Nebraska Scanner that Scott is still missing.
